TRANSTEC BOMB DETECTION KIT
With domestic terrorist attacks on businesses, schools, universities, and private individuals, now commonplace, you cannot afford to screen your mail. This unique kit combines both metal detection and chemical testing to assist in the detection of letter bombs. The METAL DETECTION detection portion of this kit (MetalTech-1200) tests for the presence of small metal objects which are present in most letter bombs: this includes wires, batteries, blasting caps, or any other metalic object.

The CHEMICAL portion of this kit utilizes Expray which is a unique, aerosol-based
field
test kit for the detection and identification of Group A explosives (e.g.
TNT, TNB, etc.), Group B explosives (e.g. Semtex H, RDX, C4, etc.) and compounds
containing nitrates that are used in improvised explosives (e.g. ANFO).
Expray is commonly used as a pre-blast, analytical tool, post-blast investigative
tool, and screen against potential terrorist elements and as a technical
evaluation test in soil remediation on hazardous material "clean-up"
sites. When used as a post-blast investigative tool, the product is field
proven to speed up crucial investigations.
The Expray testing process consists of three separate test reagents;
Expray #1 (Model #1510) for Group A explosives
Expray #2 (Model #1520) for Group B explosives
Expray #3 (Model #1530) for improvised explosives containing nitrates.
The level of sensitivity surpasses that of other currently available products. Sensitivity - less than 1 microgram. The testing process is fast and efficient. No glass ampules, spatulas or waiting time required. Results appear in seconds. No additional tools or equipment required. The identification/detection process requires no special training and testing can be performed "on the spot". While Bomb detection is not an exact science, and no guarantee has been or can be made as to the results of using this kit, the combination of both metal detection and chemical testing provides law enforcement, investigative & security personnel, and the private sector with an effective screening system.
